     Veril som v motýle...

     ...kým
     nevypil som more.
     Soľ ma robí bezcitným,
     mám myšlienky choré.

     Veril som aj v labute,
     čo mali krídla z ópia
     a dali sa na útek,
     kým som sa Ňou opíjal.

     Či stojím dole, hore,
     normalita je len dym.
     V pateticky vlhkej nore
     so šialenstvom susedím.

Tak počúvam tmu,
pochovaný v ľade,
a túžim len po pomalom,
voľnom páde.
Než konečne vytriezviem
a vydýchnem popol,
chcem vedieť,
že som spravil všetko,
čo som spraviť mohol.

Writing

I honestly hate when I have to write about myself. But right now I’ll try to overcome my hate and write something about my hobby, which is slowly becoming my 24/7 job.
‘Twas about seven years ago when I took up the most incredible hobby imaginable, writing. In the beginning I was strongly influenced by J.K. Rowling and J.R.R.Tolkien, who are basically the two authors forming my generation the most. But after certain amount of time and written pages, I let go of fantasy and moved to detective genre. By my humble opinion, detective stories are not very popular among people of my age, therefore it’s much harder to attracter older readers, mostly people who are 20+.
My detectives stories take place in the late 19th century. Victorianism is the period in history that I like the most. The main protagonist is supposed to be based on my own personality, so anyone who reads my novels can say „I know Andrej Hofer“. I strongly recommend it to lovers of late Victorian era, sarcasm and irony. But first of all, I recommend it to people who THINK. Because that is the most precious quality nowadays.

Despite novels, I used to write poetry. You could read a single proof right in the beginning. I do not publish the poetry anywhere, but whoever would like to read something more can get in touch with me via e-mail.
