My interests:
I like dancing Slovak folklore dances mostly.
I have been dancing for 7 years in folklore group Šarišanček. Since then I have danced in Šarišan, which is one of the best folklore groups in Slovakia. I have danced for 3 years and we have visited some interesting countries, for example England, Malta, France, till now.
We train twice a week. Almost every week there is some performance, especially at weekends. There are about 40 people who sing, play the instrument, dance and we all love folklore.
My second interest is riding horses. I have liked horses since I was a child.
Unfortunately, I can ride only on holidays, because there is no time in my week for this hobby.
I like riding horses to the forest more than competitions.
I hope, I will have more time for riding in the future.
My family:
My family isn’t big. I live with my mother, father, sister and grandmother.
My mother, Albína, is a very important person for me. I love her and she is my mother and the best friend in one person. She is very friendly and kind and she is willing to help everyone.
My father, Miro, is my idol , I would like to be like him. He is really clever and he can give people new chance, but he never forgets. He has drawbacks of course. If he is nervous or has lots of work, he says nothing. But you can get used to it. He works a lot, but I think, that we mean a lot for him and we are always there for him.
My sister, Kate, is 10 years old. She is a nice girl, but we are very different. She is dancing, too. She plays the violin which I really like. I think, we are good friends, and I am really happy that I have a sister like Kate.
In a near future we are going to have one more sibling. It will be a boy. We are all really looking forward to him. He should be born at the end of November, however we haven’t found the name for him yet.
Of course, we have a pet. It is a dog and his name is Bimbo. He is 9 years old, but he is really full of energy.
Something I wish I could do:
I like travelling. I wish I could travel to some countries. Especially, I would like to go to Dubai in Saudi Arabia and Washington in the USA. These are two places I were to go with Šarišan, but finally it was anulled. Our boss has promised us to go there, so I hope that it will happen in the near future.
I would like to go somewhere again. I wish I could visit every country I had been to. Especially, I would like to see Paris, London, island Malta and Turkey again. I have a lot of nice memories from those places so I wish to go there again and recognize them better.
Music:
Everyone likes different kind of music. There are a lot of groups with their own style of music, that we can choose.
I think that music isn’t everything. Words of song are important too.
I like texts that can tell me something. Something that I could think about, songs with deep ideas.
I like folklore songs because they are true stories from real life. They can be funny, or very sad.
Musicians should be skilful, then the song can be really interesting for folklore people and for amateurs, too.
One special song I like is a sound track from film Schindler’s list. I like it because it is a violin song with piano background.
Here is one artist, who is really interesting for me. He doesn’t use words, he is a pianist. I play the piano, so I love piano and violin music.
His name is MAKSIM, he is an amazing young pianist with fabulous videos from his compositions.
EXODUS is a song that I like the most. He plays perfectly and in his video he is using horses and dancing, that I both love.
NOSTRADAMUS is the second song. It is a historical story about young girl, who is saved by Maksim, and they both run away by horse.
Some special moments in my life:
I spent 7 days on island Malta. It was really exceptional, because we came there on December 26, 2008, and we arrived back on 5 January 2009. We spent there New Year's Eve, and it was my best New Year's Eve and New year in my life. We were out till 2 o’clock, we were in costumes, and we were dancing on the beach. It was fantastic, because there were 20 degrees at night.
We saw almost whole island, but the best of all were Catacombs. We were underground, and I was really feeling like in the past.
Peter Marcin was a moderator on one our performance . But he isn’t so funny at backstage.
Martinka Bobáňová was singing after we had danced. She is a small girl with a lot of courage.
This is a castle in Alnwick, in England. The films about Harry Potter were made at this castle. So this is Rokfort. It is the small castle, as you can see, but there are lot of places that you can have a rest or lie on grass and relax. In the castle there are historic sights about the Second world war, and some old things from castle. We were dancing there one day, but every free time, we went there for sightseeing or only for relaxing.
