Miro PetríkHi! My name is Miro Petrík. I haven't got any nickname because nobody has a courage to give it to me. I was born in Nitra, but now I live in Prešov. I have dark brown hair and brown eyes. I am really tall. I have 195 centimeters. I think that is a lot, but I know some people taller than me. When I was 7, I started swimming. At first, I didn't like it, but now I like it a lot. I went to some swimming competitions and won some medals. Now I have been swimming for over 9 years every day (except for the weekend, of course). I am not the best swimmer in our club but I do it for my health. I really liked drawing and painting pictures when I was little. So, I decided to go to art school. We had a very good teacher and she liked me. I was drawing, painting, drawing and painting for 8 years. It started to be boring for me. I tried some other hobbies like fishing and making plastic models. But I don't have patience for fishing. And models? I will make models when I will be on pension.I have a large family. Members of our family live in the whole Slovak Republic. I live with my parents and siblings in Prešov. My father has the same name as me. He is a vet. He really likes his job because he loves animals. He has the second job too, because he is a really big workaholic. He is a main editor of veterinary magazine INFOVET. My mother Michaela is an ordinary doctor for ordinary people. She is always nervous and over-worked after her work. I think that she doesn't like her job at all. Michael is my younger brother. He is a very good student, he has won a lot of math competitions and he knows interesting things. I should be proud of my brother but I don't like him at all. My sister Sophie is 10 but I think she has grown up very fast. She goes out with her friends to parties and so on. I know a lot of people but not everybody who I met I like and not everybody whom I like is my friend. I have maybe 10 or 11 good (true) friends, over 60 friends and 20 old friends who I haven’t talked to for 3 years. That's all! I haven't got the best friend because I think that is a kind of discrimination for my other good friends.I love laughing and I laugh every time I can. I know a lot of jokes and funny stories. So, usually people laugh on my jokes. But one time when I really laughed, I was on party in my friend's flat. At first it was really boring. We had nothing to do. So, we were watching a parody of Lord of the Ring – Pár Pařmenů. It was great. I laughed on it maybe for four weeks after that.Now I really don't know what I want to be in future. I haven’t chosen any job yet. My father is a vet, but I don't know. I like animals too, but not as my father loves them. A large part of my family is doctors, vets, dentists and so on.
